Types of chickpea
There are two main types of Chickpea - Kabuli and desi. Kabuli has smooth, generally large, light coloured seeds while the seeds of Desi are yellow to black, generally smaller, and with a rough surface.

Kranthi (ICCC-37) 100-110 18-20 Compact and bushy plant type. Medium sized grain. Tolerant to wilt disease.
Swetha (ICCV-2) 80-85 15-16 Early and short duration variety. Grain bold and white in colour (kabuli type). Tolerant to wilt.
Annegiri 100-110 18 Bushy plant, medium to large sized seed with amber colour, without pits on the grain.
Jyothi 100-110 16-18 Similar to Annegiri in plant type but the grain is pitted (puckered)
ICCV-10 (Bharathi) 100-110 18-20 Errect, well branched plant type. Tolerant to wilt and rootnot diseases.
