The Integrated Scheme of Oilseeds, Pulses, Oilpalm and Maize (ISOPOM)
was launched to provide implementation flexibility to the states
based on regionally differentiated approach, to promote crop diversification
and to provide focused approach to the programmes. There were four
separate schemes called Oilseeds Production Programme (OPP), Oil
Palm Development Programme (OPDP), National Pulses Development Project
(NPDP) and Accelerated Maize Development Programme (AMDP). All four
have been merged into one centrally sponsored Integrated Scheme
of Oilseeds, Pulses, Oilpalm and Maize (ISOPOM) from April 1, 2004.
